Editorial standards and corrections

How to raise a concern about accuracy, fairness or published content.

Last updated

Accuracy and context

Our aim is to publish accurate information with clear context, distinguish reporting from opinion, and identify sponsored material. Articles reflect the information available at the time of publication; later developments may change the picture.

Request a correction

Email info@inflection.africa with the article link, the passage you believe is wrong, your proposed correction and any supporting evidence. If the issue concerns privacy or safety, say so clearly and share only necessary personal information.

How concerns are handled

We review concerns against the published material and available evidence. We may ask for clarification or seek a response from the relevant people. Where a material factual error is confirmed, the article should be corrected and the change explained. An update for new information is different from a correction of an error.

Right of reply and complaints

If you or your organisation is directly affected by a story, explain the point you want us to consider and provide a way to contact you. Disagreement with an opinion does not by itself establish a factual error. If you remain dissatisfied, reply to the correspondence and ask for the matter to be referred to the publisher.
